Fuerteventura weather Fuerteventura has a dry, mild desert climate with many sunny days throughout the year. Average temperatures remain stable, approximately 18 to 22°C in winter and 24 to 28°C in summer, supporting year-round holidays. Rainfall is rare and brief, and humidity remains low. Winds are frequent on the island, lowering the perceived temperature and creating good conditions for water sports. Fuerteventura is therefore considered one of the Canary Islands with the most predictable weather. What to see on Fuerteventura? Fuerteventura is one of Spain's Canary Islands, located in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 100 kilometres off the African coast. It is known for long sandy beaches, turquoise water and desert scenery. Places to see include Corralejo National Park with its impressive dunes, the cliffs and volcanic formations of El Cotillo and picturesque Betancuria, the former capital. Nature lovers should visit the Jandia peninsula and the Mirador de Morro Velosa viewpoint. Sotavento beach, in the south, is known for kitesurfing competitions and its exceptionally wide stretch of sand.
