Trip description Do you dream of seeing the most important places in the western USA, but cannot take a longer trip? The America Discoverers’ Road Trip was created with you in mind. We will spend a total of 11 nights in the States and travel through 4 states: California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. During the trip, we will see the characteristic red landscapes of places such as the Grand Canyon, Zion and Horseshoe Bend, but we will also change scenery to somewhere dominated by greenery: Yosemite. In addition to the national parks, we will see San Francisco’s amazing architecture, the beaches and popular spots in Los Angeles, and experience the entertainment of Las Vegas. We call it a road trip because so many amazing experiences await us, but there will also be moments to rest. All of this is complemented by excellent accommodation along the route. Join us for the road trip of your life :) You decide whether to travel by car or by coach It does not matter whether you want to travel on your own, with family or with a group of friends. It does not matter whether you prefer a rental car or a coach. We travel as one group, which means we visit the same places and stay at the same hotels, but everyone decides individually what their journey will look like and explores at their own pace. For more information, see the section -> additional information. Day 1 - Arrival in Los Angeles Welcome to sunny California! Once you land in the City of Angels, your American Dream adventure begins. The first step will be a coach transfer to the hotel. For most of you, this will be your first encounter with American culture, so enjoy the moment! In the evening, it is time for some well-earned rest after the long journey. You can relax at the hotel or take a short walk to get a feel for Los Angeles. This is only the beginning of a great adventure, so gather your strength for the exciting days ahead! Day 2 - Los Angeles Find your favorite actor’s or actress’s star on the famous Walk of Fame. See how many steps you have to climb to receive an Oscar, and stroll along the richest street in the States: Rodeo Drive in famous Beverly Hills. Then take a break and relax on wonderful Santa Monica Beach :) Day 3 - Route 66 Get ready for the iconic towns along legendary Route 66. We will be driving through the middle of nowhere. You will experience firsthand what an American road trip means. Our first stop will be the iconic Roy?s Hotel in Amboy. This is where films such as The Hitcher and Kalifornia, starring Brad Pitt, were filmed. An essential stop will be the town of Seligman, where we will literally feel as though we have traveled back in time. Old cars, gas stations and atmospheric souvenir shops will really fire our imaginations. Route 66 is called the Mother Road for good reason. And as if that were not enough, we will spend the night in another fascinating place on Rouge 66: the town of Williams. Day 4 - Grand Canyon National Park and Horseshoe Bend An incredibly exciting day. We will see two spectacular sights in Arizona. There is no way to prepare for what it looks like in person. We are talking about Grand Canyon National Park, our first stop. Many consider it the most fascinating sight in the world. The landscape here is sure to stay in your memory for a long time. No matter how many photographs of the Grand Canyon you have seen or how much you have read about it, nothing can prepare you for the emotions you will experience here. Before checking into our next hotel, we will make a second stop at Horseshe Bend. And you know what? It is hard to believe that this is yet another masterpiece of nature. Day 5 - Antelope Canyon and Monument Valley Today, we will literally feel as though we have landed on another planet:) In Antelope Canyon, you feel as though you are in another reality. The place is difficult to describe. Suffice it to say that this is where the most expensive photograph in the world was taken. It is called Phantom and was taken in 2014 by photographer Peter Link. It found a buyer for 6.5 million dollars, and the buyer remained anonymous :) Next comes a real treat for fans of Westerns. What more is there to say? The famous Monument Valley is the essence of the Wild West. Before you lies a flat desert landscape dotted with stone monoliths rising as high as 300 m. Grab your maps, put on your hats, take the dirt road and discover the charms of this amazing place! Day 6 - Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion We begin this day in Arizona and finish in Nevada, but we will spend most of our time in Utah. The first part of the day will be in Bryce Canyon. If we had to say before the trip which place will surprise you the most, it would be Bryce. Many travelers visiting the western United States for the first time name Bryce Canyon as the place that made the greatest impression on them. That is no surprise: it is a unique geological formation and one of the most recognizable places in the USA. We will find many beautiful viewpoints and hiking trails here, including Navajo Loop, which leads through the Wall Street and Silent City rock formations. Along the way, we will also see Thor’s Hammer, one of Bryce Canyon’s icons. The second part of the day is devoted to Zion National Park. We will see for ourselves that it is one of the most fascinating national parks in the USA. Zion means Zion, which in Mormon tradition refers to an ideal city. And the park really is like paradise! We are convinced that a visit to this national park will remain in your memory for a long time. We will park the cars at the Visitor Center, and then everyone will take the park shuttle to their chosen destination. You can choose any trail, and Zion has so much to offer. Everyone is sure to find something suitable: the trails vary from very easy to somewhat more challenging. Every trail is surrounded by truly magical scenery that we will remember for a long time. Day 7 - Las Vegas - Rest and shopping A day to recharge your batteries, and not just the ones in your cameras :) You will spend it resting and relaxing. It is also an ideal day to go shopping. Las Vegas has several outlet centers where you can find many brand-name stores with really good prices. Bargain hunters, this is your moment! :) Day 8 - Calico Ghostown / travel to California It is time to travel back to the days of the Wild West! We will visit an abandoned mining town that was once bustling during the silver rush: Calico Ghost Town. As you walk its streets, you will feel the atmosphere of the 19th century and see old buildings, the saloon, jail and shops. It is the perfect place to take memorable photographs and feel, for a moment, as though you are in a Western! After visiting Calico, we will continue through the desert landscape on our way to the hotel. Day 9 - Yosemite National Park Silence, tranquility, wonderful scenery and fresh mountain air are a delight for everyone visiting this enormous valley. There are countless kilometers to walk. Pack your backpack carefully, put on comfortable shoes and choose the trail that suits you best for an unforgettable hike. Amazing rock formations, streams, brooks, waterfalls and wonderful views await you deep inside this mysterious park! Here, you are sure to discover your strength of character..:) Day 10 - San Francisco It is said to be most Americans’ favorite city. Its extraordinary character comes primarily from its setting on more than 40 hills. That unique location, together with countless parks and squares, makes every walk through the city special. This is where the former maximum-security prison, the famous Alcatraz, is located. The most dangerous criminals from across America were held there, including the most famous of them all, Al. Capone. Today, we will see all the city’s most important sights, beginning with Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies. Next, we will see the Golden Gate Bridge. We have planned stops to view it from several perspectives, including beautiful Battery Spencer. During the second part of the day, we will explore San Francisco on foot. We will walk through places such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, Washington Square, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Chinatown and the Italian neighborhood. Trust us and let yourself be carried along by everything happening in San Francisco. For some reason, this is usually where all our America Discoverers are happiest. You will discover why on the trip:) Day 11 - Santa Barbara and return to Los Angeles Today, on our way to Los Angeles, we will stop in Santa Barbara. In this atmospheric town, we will find many charming places to eat, restaurants, shops and cafés. As well as walking along the main street, Main Street, we will relax on the beach or take a walk along the distinctive pier. For those who enjoy active recreation, we will organize a game of beach volleyball, which brings plenty of sporting excitement every year:)In the evening, we will check into the next hotel along our route. Day 12 - Los Angeles, flight to Poland We did it:D We have reached the finish line of our legendary road trip through the best spots on the West Coast of the United States. In the morning, we have time for breakfast, packing and preparing for the journey back to Poland. At the appropriate time, the coach will take us to LAX, where we will begin our journey back to Poland. Goodbye, America! We will check in for our flight and set off on the return journey to Poland. Day 13 - We land in Poland We are back in Poland. Our long journey comes to an end today. Filled with positive impressions and experiences, we will thank one another for traveling together. Simply let us know when making your reservation. Hand on heart Friendly Advice The trip itinerary has been designed to give participants as many experiences as possible in the National Parks and cities. This means that on some days of the trip, you will need to travel long distances, sometimes covering around 600 km in a single day. Of course, while driving, you can stop as often as you like at places of your choice and admire the beautiful scenery. This allows you to explore America in an interesting way and experience the atmosphere of a real American road trip. A conversational command of English will be a significant help during the trip. Remember that you will be traveling independently in a rental car, but you can contact us at any time and count on our help with anything. Breakfasts in American culture differ significantly from the standard morning meals in Poland. They usually consist of coffee/tea, juices, toast with butter or jam, and cereal. For this reason, we try to find accommodations near large stores such as Walmart or Target. This makes it easy for you to stock up on the products you want, including vegetables and fruit. Except in Las Vegas, hotels are located on the outskirts of the largest cities along the itinerary, such as Los Angeles or San Francisco. We take care to ensure that the hotel is located no more than a 45-minute drive from the downtown area of the city in question. Some of our hotels offer free Internet access. However, the connection and its quality may be unstable. Signal strength depends mainly on the distance between your room and the nearest Wi-Fi transmitter. Sometimes it is better to use the service in public areas, where the signal is stronger. Some hotels charge a fee for Internet access. In such cases, the quality of the service is usually higher.
